Dog Licensing

State law requires every dog five months or older to be licensed. Licenses are only issued from the Town Hall by mail, or in person by appointment with the treasurer. Payments must be made separate from your taxes.

To license your dog, mail the following items to the Treasurer at 2379 Town Hall Rd., Mt. Horeb:

• A self-addressed, stamped envelope;

• Proof of current rabies vaccination certificate and information on the dog’s name, gender, breed and color; and 

• A check made out to the Town of Springdale. Annual fees are $17 for each spayed/neutered dog and $22 for each non-spayed/neutered dog.(A $5 late fee will be applied if payments are received after April 1st for license renewals)

Upon receipt of these items, the Treasurer will return your license in the self-addressed, stamped envelope you provide.
